Expert Answers about CrossRoads Trailer Door Parts

  • Availability of Access Door for Front of V-Nose Cargo Trailer
  • Sounds like you want an access door that you could put up near the front of the trailer. The largest option we have is the Multi Purpose Access Door part # SE58VR which is 14 inches wide by 24 inches tall. This might work for you but you might also be looking for something larger than that.

  • Tray For Heavy Generator
  • We do not have any sliding trays with a high enough capacity that match those dimensions and work with that door size. The only thing we have that comes close is the 72" long # MR96FR which is designed to be accessed from both sides. However, the tray is only 29-7/8" wide so it is just shy of your 30" measurement. Regardless of that fact, I'm guessing you have a generator compartment with the single door that doesn't run the width of the trailer so the length wouldn't work either. I would...

  • Recommended Replacement Door Latch for a 1998 Fleetwood Peirce Arrow Vision
  • William, I looked up that part you're referring too and it looks like a Trimark door latch which we do not carry. We do still have other door latches you can use to replace your current one, like the Bauer Products Rotary Latch for Horse and Utility Trailers # BA85FR. This latch measures 7-3/8" long x 1-7/8" wide x 7-3/4" tall and has a cutout requirement of 6" tall x 4" wide so as long as you have a cutout meeting that size you can use this latch.

  • Trailer Ramp Spring Recommendation for 90x74 Trailer Door
  • Thanks for reaching out, Dennis! I recommend going with the 230 lb capacity Conventional Ramp Door Spring for 8' Wide Enclosed Trailer # 362SA8HD for your application. Although I don't know the exact weight of your trailer door, according to my research your door should weigh in somewhere a little over 200 lbs so this ensures that most (if not all) of the weight of your door can be handled by the spring.

  • Where to Measure for a Conventional Ramp Door Springs?
  • You will want to measure the width of available headroom inside of the trailer. So above the door opening, left to right walls, from the inside. The Conventional Ramp Door Spring for 8' Wide Enclosed Trailer item # 362SA8207, you were looking at, fits 92-1/4" to 95-1/4" wide trailer doors.

  • Trouble Installing Trailer Ramp Door Spring
  • Installations for the Conventional Ramp Door Springs like part # ERS120D81 aren't things that we are really able to advise on since these need to be installed by someone who has previous experience or by a garage door company. You might try less than half a turn adjustment if that's possible but aside from that you'll need to have a professional help you out with this installation.

  • Will TorkLift GlowStep Revolution RV Steps Fit A 2021 Dutchmen Astoria 5th Wheel Trailer
  • Hey Jim, There unfortunately isn't a guide to tell us what steps were installed by the manufacturer in your 2021 Dutchmen Astoria so we'll need to take a few measurements first to determine compatibility. The first measurement is going to be the width of the narrowest part of the door frame. There should be a flange on both sides of the door that prevents the door from swinging into the camper. The steps will sit between these flanges so we need to know how much space we're working with....

  • Can Both Rear Doors of 2024 Entegra Expanse Be Opened With Yakima EXO Swing Away
  • The Yakima EXO Swing Away 2 Bike Rack w/ Enclosed Cargo Carrier # Y34ZR will restrict the passenger side door on your 2024 Entegra Expanse. When the arm swings out it will be sitting at that corner of the vehicle which means the door will be able to open most of the way for partial access, just not all the way. The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the rack is 4-1/4". If the distance from your hitch pin hole to the edge of your bumper is more than 4-1/4"...

  • Choosing the Correct Replacement Spring for an Enclosed Trailer Ramp Door
  • I'd go with a double spring personally, Scott. These are typically going to be used on more heavy duty applications like your enclosed trailer with a pretty heavy door. In order to get a proper replacement though, you'd need measure the width of your door and find out the weight of the door at it's heaviest point, which I'd imagine isn't more than 185 lbs, so something like # M394FR should work great but I recommend verifying yourself.

  • Picking Out Replacement Door Latch for Tack Room of 1998 Trails West 2 Horse Trailer
  • Hey Lyn, it's going to come down to the cut out size of the door where the current latch installs. If it's right at 3 inch by 4 inch you'd want the # 295-000019 or if it's 5-1/4" wide x 4-1/2" tall you'd want the part # BA64FR.

  • How to Determine Right Spring For Ramp
  • Hi there John; I'd love to tell you exactly what you need but you have to know the weight of the door, there just isn't any way around it. There isn't a product or kit to completely eliminate the spring and cable so to find the right one you need the weight of the door (which the trailer manufacturer should be able to tell you) and the width of the door. For example an 80" to 96" wide trailer door that is up to 250 lbs would use the Conventional Ramp Door Spring for 8' Wide Enclosed Trailer...

  • Determining The Correct Replacement Entry Door Latches For A Bloomer Horse Trailer
  • Hi, In order to determine the correct replacement door latches for your horse trailer you'll first need to remove the backing plate for the current latch and measure the cutout hole. Once we know the dimensions we can see if there's a compatible fit. For example, the Bauer Products Camper Door Lock # BA54FR you were looking at fits cutout holes 2-3/4" wide x 3-3/4" tall.

  • Replacement Compartment Door Slam Latch For A 2021 Forest River Riverstone Reserve 3850RK
  • Hi Richard, There unfortunately isn't a guide to tell us the exact door latch that you currently have and the part number you gave me isn't coming back to anything so I'll need you to remove the inner half of the door latch to gain access to the cutout hole and then measure it. The Global Link RV Baggage Door Slam Latch with Keyed Alike Option # 295-000015 for example, is a very common size, requiring a 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" cutout hole. If you could also measure the thickness of the door that...

  • Will The Bauer Door Lock BA64FR Work With A 5" Wide 4-7/8" Tall Cutout?
  • Hello Doug. The Bauer Products Motorhome Door Lock # BA64FR is definitely going to be your best bet for replacing the latch on your horse trailer door. This latch is made to fit a 5-1/4" wide x 4-1/2" tall cutout. With your hole being only 5" wide you may have to enlarge it slightly in order for this to work. Aside from that there will certainly be enough overlap for it to work. The overall dimensions of the face of the latch are 6-7/8" wide and 5-1/2" tall, so it will easily cover the cutout.

  • Is there an Angled Mounting Bracket for a Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Leveling System LC421484?
  • Thanks for the picture! I have seen those angled mounting panels too but that's not something we carry. It looks like those came with specific RV's and are not an aftermarket part made available by Lippert. The bracket included with the Replacement Control Panel for Lippert Ground Control 3.0 and Travel Trailer RV Leveling System item # LC421484 is the only one we have available.

  • Selecting The Correct Side Screen Door Latch For Amerimax RV Screen Doors
  • The easiest way I remember is while standing inside the camper/trailer and facing the door to go outside if the handle is on the right then you need the Right Hand Latch # 37210765. If the handle is on the left you need the Left Hand Latch # 37210775.
